For smaller hockey countries there is a huge amount of effort required to build high quality hockey facilities. Congratulations to recent winners Uruguay and Malawi, who now have Poligras turfs. Your determination to grow the game is inspiring.
The turf is in Blantyre, Malawi and will provide a base for the national teams as well as numerous clubs, schools and college teams. Read the FIH article here.

Indoor Hockey Turf in Inner Mongolia
The remote city of Morin Dawa, Inner Mongolia, China has one of only two full sized indoor hockey turfs in the world*. Plus, there is an outdoor Poligras turf in an amazing setting.
The popularity of hockey in the region is due to an ancient game called Beikou, which dates back over 1,000 years and uses apricot root as the ball and a one-meter-long wooden branch as the stick.
Poligras, has been a long-standing partner to the game in China. 16 high performance Poligras turfs have been installed in China since 2004 including the hockey turfs for the Beijing Olympics in 2008. In 2021 Poligras turfs were chosen for the Beijing National Olympic Center and the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou.
*The world’s only other full-sized indoor hockey turf is an AstroTurf (Sport Group company) under a dome at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, a USA Field Hockey Training Facility.
